Job Description
On behalf of our client, an Aerospace & Defence manufacturing business we’re actively recruiting a Special Process Engineer to join their team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of sheet metal, heat treatment and material testing processes within the aviation sector.
Role:
Process Auditing
* Carry out a monthly audit against the NADCAP pre-audit check sheets
* Identify any issues / implement corrective actions
* Ensure compliance ahead of the annual NADCAP audit
* Work closely with the Quality Manager to prepare for the NADCAP audit
* Host the NADCAP audit
* Respond to any NADCAP audit NCRs
Processing Parts
* Using the WTL / AOG tracker to ensure that the team process parts on time
* Ensure that the team understand the process specifications and that all parts are processed or tested correctly
* Maintain operator training records and stamp scopes are kept up to date
* Create and maintain SOPs for each process
Equipment & Plant Capability
* Oversee the weekly TUS / SAT checks
* Ensure that test pieces are sent to AMPP monthly
* Update the TPM documents and ensure that daily / weekly checks are completed on time
* Sign off 5S checks for the cells

* Strong MS Office knowledge
