Location: Maidenhead (preferred, Sutton Coldfield will be considered)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (38.75 hours)
About The Role
We’re looking for a Leadership Development Designer to shape, build and own Dignity’s leadership development pathway. This role is central to creating a consistent, high‑quality leadership standard across Funerals, CMG and Corporate, ensuring our leaders have the clarity, capability and confidence to deliver exceptional performance.
You’ll take fragmented programmes and turn them into a clear, structured, purpose‑driven leadership journey. This is a role for someone who loves designing frameworks, simplifying complexity and creating meaningful, behaviour‑led development that genuinely shifts leadership capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing a Leadership Capability Framework aligned to operational needs.
* Redesigning and consolidating leadership programmes into Core, Advanced and Specialist pathways.
* Creating assessments, behaviours, knowledge tests and metrics aligned to leadership KPIs.
* Ensuring leadership development reflects Dignity’s values, culture and operational expectations.
* Partnering with the People Team to align content with policy, ER and talent processes.
* Building blended learning including digital micro‑learning, coaching practice, workshops and peer learning.
* Ensuring leadership development is measurable, consistent and operationally relevant.
What Success Looks Like
* Reduced duplication across leadership programmes.
* Clear, consistent leadership standards and expectations.
* Improved people metrics such as turnover, complaints and coaching frequency.
* Strong evaluation outcomes
* A seamless, engaging leadership experience for all leaders.
Who This Role Would Suit
* Someone who is a designer first — confident creating frameworks, pathways and standards, not just delivering training.
* A person who enjoys simplifying complexity, rationalising multiple programmes and creating one coherent leadership offer.
* Someone comfortable influencing senior and operational leaders, able to tell a compelling leadership story and gain buy‑in.
* A designer who believes leadership development should be behaviour‑led, values‑driven and grounded in real operational challenges.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in leadership development or organisational development, with a strong design background.
* Experience creating leadership frameworks, competency models or academies.
* Proven ability to design blended learning (digital, workshops, coaching, peer learning).
* Experience working in operationally complex or regulated environments.
* Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to translate strategy into practical leadership expectations.
* Confidence in designing evaluation and measurement approaches for leadership capability.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up — a leadership pathway that will shape the capability of our organisation for years to come. You’ll have the space, support and influence to create meaningful change and ensure every leader at Dignity has the tools they need to succeed.
What We Offer
* Annual salary package up to £50,000 per annum
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
* Company pension, life assurance, and employee assistance programme.
* Annual company bonus.
