Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the dispatch team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
2. Conduct return-to-work interviews, 1-2-1s, and performance reviews to support team development and wellbeing.
3. Motivate and supervise warehouse personnel, ensuring adequate cover during breaks and absences.
4. Act as the first point of escalation for team issues, taking ownership of incident management and implementing corrective or preventative actions.
5. Operational Oversight
o Allocate labour effectively in conjunction with the putaway team to meet operational needs and maintain workflow balance.
o Take full ownership of dispatch operations, including load creation, pick release, pick confirmation, and ship confirmation.
o Deputize for the Team Leader when required, ensuring continuity of operations and administrative procedures.
o Investigate all damages related to products, MHE, and facilities.
o Ensure process adherence to load checks, correct pallets, heights, and condition.
o Promote team ownership and cross-training to ensure operational performance on shift.
o Manage team absences effectively.
6. Compliance & Process Control
o Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene, Environmental, and Housekeeping standards.
o Lead and complete GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) audits, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and internal standards.
o Liaise with relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination across warehouse functions.
o Perform random process checks to ensure adherence to RF gun procedures and operational standards.
o Conduct team performance reviews.
7. Inventory & Systems
o Support cycle count accuracy and adherence to inventory plans.
o Provide cover for Goods In, RMA processing, and basic gatehouse duties as needed.
8. Decision-Making & Problem Solving
o Demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment, balancing operational priorities with team needs.
o Identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse operations.
