Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for either Operating Department Practitioners or Adult nurses with an Advanced Diploma (CPD) and Advanced Proficiency in Perioperative Care to join Salford Royal.
Responsibilities
* Provide a seamless service to all patients during their theatre journey
* Support all junior staff and students
* Assume responsibility for the theatre and occasionally the department when required
* Handle additional duties assigned by team leaders, following discussion and completion of the Trust’s Contribution Framework
* Demonstrate effective communication skills
* Work a 7‑day week with early and late shifts from 07:30 to 20:00, with 24/7 emergency coverage; night rotations may arise in the future and shift patterns can be discussed at interview
Qualifications
* Registered ODP or qualified Nurse with an Anaesthetic Qualification
* Continuous professional development with an Advanced Diploma (CPD) in Perioperative Care
* Ability to demonstrate ongoing CPD and professional growth
* Note: An NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and will not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
