Nurse Overview/Job Setting
We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the team and work on our High dependency or Active Rehabilitation unit. This is a service catering mainly to both male and female private patients and also patients referred through the NHS.
This unique opportunity will allow the successful candidate to gain experience in a multitude of specialist areas working with Complex Needs, Dementia and Huntington's disease. This will allow you to expand your knowledge and skillset very quickly giving you an outstanding platform for your career.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their skills and experiences in engaging with patients, effectively managing risk and promoting patient involvement in their care and treatment.
You will want to work in a therapeutic environment that supports the patients move towards a safe, more independent future and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
You will work with a large multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, other registered mental health nurses, healthcare assistants, teaching staff, therapists (including DBT and CBT therapists, a clinical psychologist, a child psychotherapist and an occupational therapist). You will be involved in the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care. You will also be expected to attend daily multidisciplinary handover meetings, ward rounds and CPA meetings.

Key Responsibilities
14. Providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
15. Administering medication and treatments prescribed by doctors and other health care professionals.
16. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive holistic care.
17. Maintaining accurate records of patient care, including progress notes and medical histories.
18. Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care.
Requirements
19. A valid nursing qualification and current NMC registration
20. Previous experience working in a mental health hospital or similar setting
21. A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
22. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
23. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other health care professionals
