This is a full time/permanent position in London and operates a Hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Marketing Team with the preparation and submission of tenders and fee proposals including the preparation and review of technical responses and fees.
2. Leading on business development including direct engagement with existing and perspective clients in relation to fire safety and fire engineering approaches in respect of building works to new and existing buildings.
3. Attend industry events and awards representing Keegans/ECD and the wider RSK Group.
4. Actively seek out opportunities to secure new business with existing and new clients through networking and collaborative working.
5. Manage the financial performance of the Fire Safety Division including preparing monthly financial reporting in relation to fee income and the management of direct costs. Reporting on resource requirements etc.
6. Responsible for the completion of the Quarterly Board reports.
7. Attend weekly Senior Management Team Meetings.
8. Manage the timely and accurate issuing of invoices in line with Company Requirements.
9. Support the Managing Director with the development of annual budgets and resource planning including development of Divisional Goals and Objectives.
10. Responsible for the maintenance and development of the QMA process and work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team to retain QMS and other Corporate Registrations including BAFE, IFE and IFSM.
11. Lead the Building Safety Working Group and act as the lead point of contact for the Building a Safer Future Champion status.
12. Responsible for the management and development of direct reports including managing performance.
13. Undertaking appraisals and preparing personal development plan identifying relevant training needs.
14. Manging your own CPD requirements including identifying significant developments within the industry including changes to legislation, best practise and the use of systems and tools to improve the efficiency of the division.
15. Mentoring and developing junior team members including progression to achieve professional member status.
16. Undertake quality checking of reports and documents prior to peer review and sign off by others.
17. Manage resources allocation on projects and review workload and work distribution within the division.
18. Attending client meetings to report on progress and performance.
19. Manging the appointment and allocation of work to subconsultants ensuring that suitable risk assessments and method statements are prepared and updated.
Qualifications and Experience:
20. Educated to degree level with experience working in a design or surveying consultancy familiar with RIBA plan of work and RICS terms of engagement.
21. Membership of professional Boday such as RICS, IFE or CABE, or working towards membership.
22. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role.
23. Strong commercial focus.
