Job Title: Contract Manager – Hard Services (M&E)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package
Location: Leicester – main site (with regional responsibilities)
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee a key contract within the building maintenance sector, focused on Hard FM services. Based primarily at a flagship site in Leicester, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems and the operational delivery of services, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a growing contract, managing a dedicated team of engineers while ensuring client satisfaction, contract compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the delivery of hard services (M&E focused) to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
* Manage a small team of site-based engineers, including performance monitoring, training, and development.
* Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong professional relationships.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
* Take ownership of the budget and financial performance of the contract.
* Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers as required.
* Provide technical expertise, particularly in relation to mechanical and electrical systems.
* Support mobilisation or transition activities on any additional sites brought under the contract’s scope.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong technical background in M&E systems (mechanical and electrical essential).
* Proven experience in a Contract Manager or similar supervisory role within the building maintenance/facilities management industry.
* Experience managing multi-site or large static site operations is desirable.
* Sound knowledge of relevant health & safety and compliance regulations.
* Excellent client-facing skills with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
* Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
* Must be based in or around Leicester, with flexibility to travel to regional sites if needed.
Package Includes:
* Basic Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
