ALT is working on behalf of a client in Chichester to recruit a Wills, Trusts & Probate Senior Secretary for a newly created position within a busy and friendly private client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive secretary with strong experience in either Wills and Probate or a similar legal support role. The role is full time, with flexibility considered for the right candidate, and an immediate or flexible start date available.
You' ll provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Wills, Trusts and Probate team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department. The position will involve a varied workload and close client contact, supporting fee earners and assisting with matters across the team. Responsibilities include diary management, file opening, archiving and retrieval, and general secretarial cover for the department administrator during periods of absence.
Duties
* General secretarial duties and cover for the department administrator.
* Assisting with out of office matters, including registering deaths and attending client appointments.
* Diary management.
* File opening, archiving and retrieval.
* Preparing pre-appointment letters.
* Drafting LPAs and associated forms.
* Assisting with probate administration and estate accounts.
* Managing files both physically and online using Linetime CMS.
* Supporting clients by phone, email and in person.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have previous secretarial or personal assistant experience, ideally within Wills and Probate or another legal environment.
You will need to be highly organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced team while maintaining excellent client service.
