Healthcare Assistant (Palliative Care) – Medway Community Healthcare
We are looking for a caring, resilient and hardworking individual to join our inpatient team at the Wisdom Hospice. This role involves providing personal care, supporting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and their families, and assisting the registered nurse in delivering holistic palliative nursing care. You will also be responsible for caring for patients after death.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and their families.
* Assist the registered nurse to deliver holistic palliative nursing care to patients on the ward.
* Support patients after death.
* Perform all duties as identified and supervised by the registered nurses.
* Work rotational night duties and weekend working.
Requirements
* Strong work ethic, compassion, resilience and a caring attitude.
* Ability to work in a challenging, supportive and rewarding environment.
* Not bereaved within the past 12 months.
