The Role
We are seeking a Lecturer to teach the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme, with flexibility to deliver during weekdays, evenings and weekends. The role involves developing and delivering comprehensive course materials, managing all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and keeping current with developments in the field.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work ensuring learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Stay up to date with developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and maintaining thorough, organized student records.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification or commitment to enrol in a teaching programme within the probationary period and complete within three years.
* Experience designing or developing academic or professional education programmes.
* Fellowship of HEA or international equivalent.
