Role Overview: Head of Childrens Sufficiency & Data As the Head of Childrens Sufficiency & Data, you will lead the design, delivery, and oversight of advanced technical solutions to improve sufficiency systems across childrens services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data is accurately captured, analysed, and utilised, supporting strategic planning, performance oversight, and the development of robust business cases. Working closely with colleagues across social work, finance, and transformation, you will ensure that sufficiency data informs decision-making at every level. What You Will Do Design, implement, and oversee sophisticated technical solutions that enhance sufficiency systems using existing infrastructure and software. Enable colleagues across social work, finance, and transformation to effectively apply sufficiency data in business case development and planning. Create and maintain childrens social care dashboards, covering key sufficiency metrics for children in care, disabled children, and those on the edge of care. Strengthen governance processes, ensuring sufficiency reporting meets departmental needs and supports high-quality analysis. Coordinate professionals and stakeholders to ensure accountability and the creation of safe, high-quality homes for young people, particularly in escalating situations. Person Specification Essential Demonstrable experience delivering projects aligned to the responsibilities outlined above. Strong proficiency in Power BI and relevant database systems such as Liquid Logic. Ability to interpret and analyse complex data for needs assessments, planning, and service development. Confident working independently across departments with competing priorities. Proven track record in relationship management and leading change. Desirable Experience within Childrens Social Care. Understanding of commissioning cycles and associated processes.
