New opportunity: Assistant Financial Accountant
I am partnering with an established property company to bring on an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role is great for someone part-qualified ACCA within practice looking for a change to grow their skill set and build a career in Industry.
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
Location: London
Hybrid: 3 days in and 2 days from home
What to expect:
Conducting daily bank reconciliations
Supporting quarterly management accounts preparation
Completing balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing and posting prepayments, accruals, and loan interest
Updating quarterly accounts and shareholder packs
Communicating with auditors on your areas of expertise
Preparing VAT returns, including handling partial exemptions
Analysing and providing commentary on quarterly management accounts
Preparing statutory accounts
Working with treasury processes and overseeing workflow approvals
Engaging in ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks
Collaborating with the finance team to improve processes
What skillset will you bring:
Actively studying AAT/ACCA (part-qualified desirable)
System experience within Sage, Xero and CaseWare
Knowledge of financial accounting, including exposure to statement audit or production
VAT experience, particularly partial exemption
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
A proactive mindset with excellent communication and writing skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and prioritise workloads under tight deadlines
