Senior Bid Writer
I am working with a privately owned construction business with a turnover in excess of £150 million per annum. They are looking for a new employee within the bids team to put the needs of their clients first, in order to help them be the leading construction company that organisations choose to do business with.
Location
Hybrid working; 3 days in the office in LB of Redbridge, 2 days from home.
Duties
• Organise and lead tender launch meetings, developing bid programmes, schedules and trackers
• Write, review and edit compelling, client-focused responses for PQQs, ITTs and tender submissions
• Translate technical information into clear, engaging content tailored to the client
• Manage clarification questions, procurement portals and client correspondence
• Maintain and develop bid content including case studies, CVs and project sheets
• Ensure all documentation is professionally formatted and aligned with brand guidelines
• Support the production of interview presentations and submission materials
• Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements
Liaise with internal stakeholders (estimators, planners, design managers, commercial teams and directors) to gather technical input
Skills and Experience
• 5 years’ + experience in bid writing within the construction sector
• Strong experience preparing and submitting high-quality tender responses
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders to develop technical content
• Exposure to bidding across Social Housing Projects
• APMP or relevant qualification is advantageous
