Overview
Due to ongoing demand and continued expansion, our client has a requirement for a Logistics / international compliance officer to join an experienced team within a fast growing, dynamic organisation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities ;
1. Operational support in terms of coordinating with the manufacturing and warehouse managers, and the quality technician in support of operational planning, health safety and security, performance targets and objectives.
2. Supporting International Trade Compliance processes to maintain HMRC authorizations and assisting the Operations Director with HMRC audits.
3. Producing process performance reports and presentations.
4. Internal Audits against the requirements of AS9100 / AS9120, in line with RTA’s internal audit schedule, maintaining records, including monitoring corrective actions to closure.
5. General Quality administration – includes management review, material review board support, supplier quality monitoring, and completion/preparation of customer survey responses.
6. Compiling high level business statistics and maintaining key performance indicators.
7. QMS maintenance, including drafting and updating associated documents.
8. Skills matrix maintenance (includes maintaining training records)
Essential Criteria and Skills ;
9. Experience of planning, supervising / managing operations in either a manufacturing or a warehousing/storage environment
10. Experience of working within a quality management system (e.g. ISO9001)
11. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
12. Attention to Detail
13. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
14. Working knowledge of Office 365
Desirable skills / experience;
15. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and MS Dynamics
16. Working knowledge of import / export procedures and data requirements, including tariff classification, customs value calculations, preparation of international trade documentation such as Bills of Laden, Commercial Invoices, and Bills of Discharge (BOD1). A HMRC / International Trade Compliance qualification would be viewed as a distinct advantage.
