We're excited to be recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a global supplier of high-value technologies. Based in Birmingham, the site produces a wide range of complex products using modern manufacturing methods, supporting customers across multiple sectors worldwide. The business is experiencing a strong period of growth and can offer the right engineer a salary of around £48,000, flexible working hours, an early Friday finish, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include -
Review current processes and existing methods of manufacture.
Work on volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
Ensure that existing equipment and machinery are kept in good working order.
Recommend new equipment when and where necessary.
Support with the creation of new manuals and staff training where necessary.
Assist with plant layouts to ensure material flow is maximised.
Help to drive continuous improvement/kaizen programs on site.
Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience -
Experience working within a similar role - Production Engineer, Process Engineer etc.
Ability to use the relevant tools and techniques - Single piece flow, Kanban, lean etc.
Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
