Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the strategic direction of Sport and Physical Wellbeing across the secondary phase Oversee the PE curriculum, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across all key stages Develop and implement initiatives that promote student health, fitness, and overall wellbeing Inspire and support a dynamic team of teachers and sports coaches Organise a comprehensive programme of extracurricular sport and competitive fixtures Collaborate with colleagues across phases to ensure continuity and ambition in sport provision Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of PE and wellbeing initiatives Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential Proven track record of excellence in teaching Physical Education Experience of leadership or middle leadership in an educational setting Visionary leadership and the ability to inspire a culture of participation and performance Strong organisational and communication skills A passion for promoting physical health and wellbeing in young people Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated professional to lead a key area of school life.
