Our client is a well-established contractor who has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial and industrial schemes across the region. They are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join their team and take the lead on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind the design process—making sure concepts are not only creative but also practical, cost-effective, and ready to be built. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to keep everything on track from pre-construction right through to handover.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
* Coordinating and managing the design process across multiple stakeholders.
* Ensuring all designs meet regulations, contracts, and industry standards.
* Reviewing drawings and specifications to spot potential issues early.
* Supporting tender stages with technical insight and value engineering ideas.
* Aligning designs with budget and programme requirements.
* Championing safety, quality, and sustainability in every stage of design.
About you:
1. Strong experience in design management, ideally within the commercial or industrial sector.
2. Technical knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
