To deliver research aspects of the trial, including setup and closing of the study, and to contribute to the screening and recruitment of patients with psychosis and young people at ultra‑high risk of psychosis. This will involve speaking to referrers regularly, attending clinical team meetings, visiting community mental health teams and hospital wards. The role requires meeting monthly recruitment targets, completing eligibility screening assessments, seeking informed consent, arranging and carrying out assessments at various time points, producing regular reports on recruitment targets and processes (including managing the recruitment database), and travelling across a large geographical area to clinical teams and patient homes.
Responsibilities
* Set‑up and close down of the trial
* Contribute to the screening and recruitment of patients with psychosis and young people at ultra‑high risk of psychosis
* Speak to referrers regularly, attend clinical team meetings, visit community mental health teams and hospital wards
* Meet monthly recruitment targets
* Complete eligibility screening assessments and seek informed consent
* Arrange and carry out assessments for the trials at various time points
* Produce regular reports on recruitment targets and processes, including managing the recruitment database
* Travel across the large geographical area to clinical teams and patient homes; require a valid driving licence and access to independent transport
* Maintain good record‑keeping and ensure the site file complies with GCP, trial protocols and Trust protocols
* Perform administrative duties related to the project, including regularly entering and checking data in study databases
* Attend supervision and research team meetings, including at the lead site (GMMH)
* Work occasional irregular hours to fit patient availability
* Work within guidelines set out by the Data Protection Act, the Code of Ethics and confidentiality requirements
* Follow operational procedures for the trial and NHS Trust policy regarding safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children
* Contribute to consistent and safe practices by adhering to all relevant Trust policies and procedures
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK. This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, as the organisation is unable to support sponsorship for this post.
