Job Summary
We're hiring a General Manager (Sales & Growth Focus) to take full ownership of our multi-venue site in Liverpool's Pride Quarter. This is not just an operations role — your mission is to make the venue busy, successful, and profitable. You'll be responsible for both the day-to-day running of the business and driving growth through events, partnerships, promotions, and smart sales strategies.
Our site consists of three distinct venue concepts under one roof, each with its own brand identity. You'll ensure each one thrives individually, while also working together to maximise the building's overall footfall, profitability, and reputation as a must-visit destination.
Key Responsibilities
* Full accountability for both operational excellence and commercial success.
* Develop and deliver growth strategies that increase footfall, sales, and repeat business.
* Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
* Oversee day-to-day operations across all three venue concepts, including staffing, stock, compliance, and cash management.
* Build partnerships with local businesses, promoters, event organisers, and influencers to strengthen the venue's profile.
* Launch creative events and marketing campaigns that position the venue as a key destination for Liverpool nightlife.
* Analyse financial performance, set sales targets, and report regularly with clear actions for improvement.
Success in This Role Looks Like
* The building is consistently busy with strong, growing sales.
* Each venue concept performs well individually while contributing to the wider success of the site.
* Customers recognise the venue as one of Liverpool's go-to nightlife destinations.
* Operations run smoothly without constant firefighting, freeing you to focus on growth.
Requirements
* Proven track record in General Manager, Venue Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality/nightlife.
* Demonstrated ability to grow sales and turn around underperforming venues.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Commercial mindset with experience in promotions, partnerships, or event planning.
* Excellent communication and networking abilities.
* Solid understanding of licensing, compliance, health & safety, and venue operations.
* A passion for nightlife, entertainment, and creating unforgettable experiences.
How to Apply
Please apply with your CV and a short cover letter detailing your experience in growing sales and making venues successful. Applicants must note that nobody else in the company is experienced in this sector — you will not be "supervised" by a marketing or promotions manager. We are looking for a self-starter who can deliver results without needing step-by-step guidance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
