Restaurant Trainer / Assessor
I am working with a fantastic college in Sheffield who are looking for a Restaurant Trainer / Assessor to join them in August for a long term placement. This role will involve assessing and training Apprentice students on the onsite restaurant. Ideal for candidates with hospitality, restaurant, catering or learner support/training experience.
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 28 per week
Start: August 2026
Pay: £28,760 - £33,563 pro rata
Contract type: Fixed term contract Mat cover
Key duties
* Training and assessing hospitality learners in a live restaurant environment
* Supporting an outstanding learner and customer experience
* Coordinating restaurant service sessions and events
* Providing learner feedback and maintaining Google Classroom materials
* Supporting safeguarding and attendance processes
* Cash handling and supporting day‑to‑day commercial operations
* Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health & safety and licensing regulations
* Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to support targets and new industry‑led initiatives
* Deputising for the Catering Operations Manager when required
