Joining a committed and supportive team, you will provide reception support to the department, responding to enquiries via telephone, email, and face to face. The role will also involve a range of administrative responsibilities to ensure the delivery of an efficient reception service for students, staff and external visitors wishing to engage with our services. As Receptionist you will: provide effective cover to the Reception desk of your designated area, ensuring enquires are dealt with in a sensible and approachable way accurately record information pertaining to interactions with Student Services by students, staff and externals, to ensure University records are kept up to date provide general administrative support to facilitate the smooth running of the department work with other administrative staff to ensure the evolving needs of the Department are met, including booking rooms and servicing meetings, data inputting and supporting events To succeed in this role you will need: GCSE grade A-C (9-4) English and Maths or equivalent IT training including Word, Outlook, Excel previous experience of providing reception services in a similar environment to be adaptable to change with a positive attitude toward a constantly evolving environment The award winning Careers and Employability Service (CES) at the University of Kent offers a range of information, advice and guidance services free-of-charge to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University.
