Responsibilities:
1. Support the Store Manager in all areas of store operations and deputise in their absence
2. Lead and inspire a team of volunteers and programme participants (Companions) to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
3. Oversee shop floor standards, health and safety checks and day-to-day operational excellence
4. Support stock control and ensure smooth coordination with the collections and deliveries team
5. Contribute to financial performance through accurate till procedures and cost controls
6. Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and purposeful retail environment in line with the charity's values
7. Work collaboratively across the wider retail and support team
About You:
Essential:
8. Previous retail leadership/supervisory experience and a strong customer focus
9. Strong leadership and delegation skills
10. Excellent communication, organisation and time management
11. Ability to work weekends on a rota basis
Desirable:
12. Retail management experience in charity or second-hand retail
13. Experience working with vulnerable individuals or those with challenging behaviours would be advantageous
14. Experience supervising volunteers
15. First Aid or Health and Safety qualifications
16. Passion for sustainability and social impact
