The Role
As Clerk of Works / Site Inspector you will carry out site inspections and quality audits to ensure installations are delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Conducting site inspections across active construction projects
2. Carrying out quality assurance audits and identifying non-compliance issues
3. Ensuring installations meet technical specifications, safety standards and project requirements
4. Recording inspections with reports, photographs and documentation
5. Monitoring materials, measurements and installation quality
6. Marking up drawings to reflect site changes or deviations
7. Reporting findings to Project and Construction Managers
8. Monitoring health & safety compliance on site
9. Supporting quality improvements and training where required
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in construction inspection, site supervision or quality control.
You may have worked as a:
10. Clerk of Works
11. Site Inspector
12. Construction Inspector
13. QA / Quality Inspector
14. Mechanical or Building Services Inspector
15. Site Supervisor or Engineer
You will ideally have:
16. Experience inspecting construction, mechanical, building services or fire protection installations
17. NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Fire Protection or a construction trade
18. Knowledge of site inspections, QA processes, and defect management
19. Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
20. CSCS White or Black Card (or willingness to obtain)
21. Full UK driving licence
