GSL Education are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Tutor to join a forward-thinking vocational education provider in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an industry professional or experienced tutor to help shape the future of young mechanics and technicians through hands-on learning and classroom instruction.
Responsibilities:
* Support Individual Learning: Help implement personalised learning plans.
* Provide Targeted Support: Offer 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to student needs.
* Monitor Progress: Track student development and adjust support as required.
* Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with teachers, support teams, and parents/carers.
* Create a Positive Environment: Help build a space where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
* Engage Learners: Use a variety of strategies to maintain student interest and adapt to different learning styles.
* Keep Accurate Records: Maintain documentation of student progress and share insights with staff.
Requirements:
* Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., Level 3 in Motor Vehicle or equivalent).
* Industry experience in motor vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
* Knowledge of current industry standards, tools, and practices.
* A genuine passion for inclusive education and a proactive mindset.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
* Competitive daily rates of £110 - £175 (dependent on experience).
