 
        
        Senior Project Engineer – Thames Water
Shape the future of water and wastewater infrastructure by leading the delivery of innovative, cost‑effective, and resilient engineering solutions that protect public health and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
 * You will collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders—including engineers, asset management, and operations—to shape fit‑for‑purpose solutions and influence innovation, value for money, and resilience.
 * Work closely with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet rigorous technical standards and quality benchmarks.
 * Ensure project compliance with legislation, regulations, policies, and standards, delivering safe and environmentally compliant solutions.
 * Support Thames Water’s “triple zero” Health, Safety, and Well‑being vision by conducting audits and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
 * Identify and manage delivery risks and opportunities to maintain project timelines and budgets.
 * Contribute to the creation of Project Briefs and respond to RFIs and other project queries.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
 * Background in design and construction‑related roles, with awareness of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
 * Experience working with mechanical packaging and pumping systems (technical knowledge and engineering discipline coordination).
 * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
 * Demonstrated ability to manage complex capital projects and deliver on technical and environmental requirements.

Location & Working Hours
Hybrid – Clearwater Court with periodic travel to Oxford Sewage Treatment Works. 36 hours per week, Monday‑Friday (open to part‑time and full‑time arrangements).
