Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our team at Barca Bar. This individual will support the planning, set up, and execution of all events. Being the main point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth operations and an exceptional experience for our guests. The Events Assistant will work closely with the Events Manager and the bar team to ensure that every event is a success.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in the coordination of various events, including private events and promotional
events.
● Manage event logistics such as setup, breakdown, and ensuring the venue is
prepared for each event.
● Communicate on the day with vendors, entertainers, and clients to confirm event details and timelines.
● Help maintain an organized inventory of event materials and supplies.
● Provide support to guests during events, ensuring they have a great experience.
● Handle guest enquiries related to events, completing show rounds ensuring prompt and professional responses.
● Collaborate with the bar and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service during events.
● Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations during events.
● Provide feedback and recommendations for improving future events.
Requirements:
● Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
● Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work well under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
● It is expected that you will work Friday evenings and weekends, whilst also having flexible availability midweek to support events as needed.
● Passion for the hospitality and events industry.
