Job Title: Deputy Manager – Learning Disability Service Location: Cromer Employment Type: Permanent Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a Learning Disability service in Cromer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional with a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and a strong background in management within the care sector. You will play a key role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, promoting independence, dignity, and person-centred care in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care tailored to the needs of individuals with learning disabilities. Lead and mentor the support team, providing training, guidance, and performance oversight. Manage rotas effectively to maintain safe staffing levels. Conduct audits and ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent and appropriate care. Assist with financial oversight, including budget and resource planning. Address and resolve concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly and professionally. Support recruitment, induction, and staff development. Foster an inclusive, respectful, and empowering environment for both staff and service users. Qualifications and Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) – essential. Experience in a supervisory or management role within a learning disability or care service. Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Strong organizational and time-management capabilities. Desirable: NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards this. Experience managing budgets and resources. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other care management systems.
