About the Role
Join our dynamic team in creating a positive learning atmosphere within our Learner Centres, encouraging learner interest and motivation whilst supporting learners in the achievement of their short and long-term aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
· Effective management of staff and daily operations of the Learning Centre, working closely with the Operations Manager.
· Effective communication with local SPS Management as required and agreed with Operations Manager.
· Deliver and assess a range of qualifications in accordance with quality frameworks, lead body and awarding body procedures and processes.
· Responsible for the efficient development, effective and equitable implementation of timetabling within the learning centre.
· Ensure accurate reporting of Monthly Information Reports and other contractual data requirements.
· Attend key operational meetings as agreed with Operations Manager.
· In conjunction with the Operations Manager contribute to the development of Learning opportunities across the SPS contract including but not limited to accredited course, non-accredited and e-learning.
· Design, develop, review and improve courses, assessments, and learning materials to ensure that they maintain relevance and currency and meet national and local quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
· Educated to minimum HND level (SCQF Level 8) in relevant area.
· SQA units aligned to the National Occupational Standards for assessment, planning and internal verification, or be willing to work towards.
· Previous teaching or training experience.
· Knowledge of a range of awarding bodies such as REHIS, RoSPA, ASDAN.
· Experience working with offenders or hard to reach learners.
· Knowledge and experience of Project Based Learning.
· Proven track record of working a range of partners to deliver learning outcomes.
· Assessor/Verifier Awards.
· Management and leadership.
· Certificate and Principles in Team Leading level 2.
· Experience of working with learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
