Business Development Executive (Outbound Focus)
Reports to: Head of Business Development
Location: Belfast (office-based, with field activity)
Salary: £25,000 base + uncapped commission (OTE £60,000+ realistic in Year One)
Role Purpose
To generate a steady flow of qualified sales appointments through structured outbound prospecting — combining phone, email, LinkedIn, and selected face-to-face activity (door-to-door canvassing and networking events). This role demands discipline, resilience, and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Outbound prospecting: High-volume daily activity across phone, LinkedIn, and email.
* Appointment setting: Book qualified meetings for the Head of Business Development, meeting agreed criteria (budget, authority, need, timing).
* Door-to-door canvassing & networking: Attend targeted businesses and selected events as part of the lead generation mix.
* Pipeline management: Build and maintain lead lists within the CRM.
* CRM discipline: All calls, notes, and appointments logged accurately.
* Follow-through: Ensure every lead is pursued until conversion or disqualification.
* Accountability: Daily activity and results reporting.
Performance Expectations
* Reliability: Consistent attendance and output.
* Drive: Self-motivated and hungry for commission.
* Resilience: Handles rejection without losing momentum.
* Work Ethic: High outbound activity — if the phone isn't ringing, they're dialling or out knocking doors.
* Proactivity: Uses networking events and canvassing as tools to secure appointments, not as a social exercise.
KPIs (Measured Weekly)
* 60–80 outbound dials per day.
* 3+ qualified appointments booked per week.
* 100% CRM compliance.
* All warm leads followed up within 48 hours.

* Confidence in face-to-face selling (door-to-door or events).
