JOB TITLE: Engineering Lead - Colleague Channels Platform
LOCATION: Manchester
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (two days) in our Manchester office.

Are you a tech leader who loves empowering teams and driving? We're looking for an Engineering Lead to drive the success of our teams, ensuring they have everything they need to thrive.In this role, you'll set the overall direction for our engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency. You'll work closely with product owners to make sure technology is at the heart of decision-making, while also keeping a close eye on risk, resilience, and costs. While you may not be coding day to day, your deep technical expertise will be crucial in guiding and mentoring the team.

What you'll need…
* Modern engineering knowledge from across a broad range of solutions and platforms, including micro frontend, microservices, build patterns, DevOps, data, automation, hosting, language & platform choices etc.
* Experience of navigating complex systems architectures, comprised of modern and legacy solutions, and in-house and product solutions, using both on-premise and Cloud hosting.
* An ability to managing complex delivery, bringing together teams from within and outside the Bank around a shared outcome to deliver successfully.
* Experience of mentoring and coaching engineers to build a world class engineering capability, with a passion for coaching, developing colleagues and building a strong team culture that radiates far beyond your team alone.
* An ever-developing knowledge of, and interest in, engineering principles, practices and technologies.
