Volunteer Opportunity: Treasurer – Bluntisham Blaster FC (Charity Role)
Location: Remote but to be close to Bluntisham, Cambridgeshire | Flexible Hours | Volunteer Role
Bluntisham Blasters FC is an England Football Accredited Club, previously recognised as an FA Charter Standard Youth Football Club, and is affiliated with the Huntingdonshire Football Association.
Founded in 2007, we bring over 15 years of experience and a strong commitment to offering a safe and enjoyable environment for children of all ages to participate in grassroots football. Our goal is to ensure football positively impacts all players, providing them with the best opportunities for growth and development.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate and reliable, Treasurer to join our committee and help manage the club’s finances.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Overseeing and maintaining the club’s financial records.
* Preparing simple budgets and regular financial reports for the committee.
* Managing income and expenses (e.g., match fees, fundraising, grants).
* Work along side our Marketing company to support sponsorship efforts.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant financial obligations.
* Working closely with the Chair and Secretary to guide decision-making.
Who You Are:
* Financially literate, organised, and trustworthy.
* Comfortable using basic spreadsheets or software.
* Ideally experienced in bookkeeping, finance, or accounting (but not essential).
* Passionate about community sport and happy to be part of a team of volunteers.
* Able to commit a few hours per month (mostly flexible, with occasional meetings).
