Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression and professional development.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on the bill of materials and engineering specifications, liaising with design engineers for alternatives or variations.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors to ensure correct revision for fabrication or assembly.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises regularly to coordinate and review production.
6. Coordinate with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks before handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags cleared prior to product shipment.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting equipment, and client handover.
9. Manage project schedules, documentation control, and monitor progress.
10. Communicate with clients and project stakeholders to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Handle contract management tasks, including responding to compensation events and issuing early warning notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification with experience in a related discipline.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Availability to travel across the UK.
