The role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You play a central role in supporting one of our major decommissioning programmes, work that directly contributes to safe, sustainable energy and national protection. This is an exciting opportunity to influence high‑value contracts, support change initiatives and apply your commercial expertise where it truly matters.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to
1. Deliver contract management activities, ensuring compliance, commercial integrity and robust governance.
2. Lead the assessment of contract change, including scoping, cost evaluation and schedule impact.
3. Negotiate and price contract changes to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
4. Develop and implement practical commercial solutions that support project delivery.
5. Support project teams with forecasting, costing and structured change methodologies.
You will work 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Cheshire. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2-3 days in the office.
Essential experience of the Quantity Surveyor:
6. Experience working in a Quantity Surveying role within a regulated industry.
7. Knowledge of standard forms of contract such as NEC3.
8. Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret complex contract requirements.
9. Experience supporting projects and change initiatives using appropriate methodologies.
10. Forecasting and cost‑management experience.
Qualifications for the Quantity Surveyor:
11. Degree or equivalent experience within a relevant field.
Security Clearance
