About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead the operational delivery of a newly opened childrens residential home for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. As the Ofsted Registered Manager, youll be responsible for ensuring that the home provides a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment where every young person can reach their full potential. Youll lead your team with empathy, structure, and vision creating a culture that promotes stability, growth, and outstanding care. The home has recently received a Good Ofsted rating, and this is an opportunity to take it to the next level of excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead the operational management of the home as the Ofsted Registered Manager. Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations (2015) and Ofsted inspection standards. Create and sustain a child-centred culture focused on safety, development, and emotional wellbeing. Recruit, manage, and develop staff through effective rotas, supervisions, and training. Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, education liaison, and care planning. Manage budgets, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain confidentiality and data protection. Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota to provide responsive leadership and support. Requirements ? NVQ Level 3 minimum and/or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). ? Eligible to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager. ? Strong working knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted frameworks. ? Experience managing a childrens residential home or similar care setting. ? Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. ? Confident in managing safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance. ? IT literate and capable of handling occasional manual handling duties. ? Full UK driving licence (desirable).
