Sanctuary provides in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm
We’re looking for an Electrician to join our team based in Ely. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance to tenanted properties and completing electrical condition reports. This role involves lone working with occasional team work, so initiative is essential. A company van and tools will be provided for business use to enable you to deliver high-quality service to customers.
The role of Electrician will include:
1. Inspecting and testing occupied properties and completing remedial work to ensure safety and compliance.
2. Completing all paperwork and producing certification for works undertaken.
3. Monitoring and maintaining van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
Skills and experience:
1. Qualified to NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition - 2nd Amendment, BS5839-1, BS5839-6, or currently undertaking these qualifications. Practical experience with lower qualifications and willingness to undertake further training are also welcomed.
2. Knowledge of health and safety legislation application.
3. Ability to analyze and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
5. Valid UK driving license, as the role involves driving a company vehicle.
