About us

We're on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we're shaping finance for good. We're focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you!

About this Opportunity

This is your chance to use brand new technology and foster innovation to combat economic crime, making a real impact on customers and society. As a Manager in our Screening Development team, you'll be at the forefront of our ongoing mission to continually enhance our sanctions screening capabilities and transform our controls to protect the Group and its customers. You'll take your place within our Financial Crime & Compliance Technologies team - a community of experts that provide multiple technology services for Group-wide economic crime prevention systems and applications.

What You'll Do

* Lead and develop a high-performing team of sanctions screening specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, analytical excellence, and continuous improvement.

* Shape and deliver strategy to enhance screening technology, ensuring alignment with the Group's risk appetite, regulatory obligations, and business goals.

* Oversee the performance and tuning of sanctions screening filters, balancing detection effectiveness with operational efficiency.

* Champion the use of data driven insights and new technologies to drive optimisation and deliver projects to transform controls.

* Engage and influence senior partners across Economic Crime Prevention, Business Units, and Platform teams to facilitate effective decision making.

* Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory expectations (e.g., OFSI, OFAC, EU).

* Collaborate with internal technology teams and external vendors to embed new capabilities and enhance system performance.

* Represent the team in governance and cross-functional forums, providing thought leadership and ensuring transparency and accountability.

What You'll Need

* A passion for influencing change across complex environments to deliver results.

* A strategic mentality with the ability to translate technical and data driven insights into business outcomes.

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bring to life complexity and influence at senior levels.

* A dedication to developing people, building capability, and promoting an inclusive and high-performing culture.

* Experience working with industry-leading screening tools such as Fircosoft.

* And any experience of these would be really useful: Leading economic crime prevention teams within financial services.

* Deep understanding of screening technologies and regulatory expectations.

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We're disability confident. So, if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

* A generous pension contribution of up to 15%.

* An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance.

* Share schemes including free shares.

* Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.

* 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top.

* A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.
