Offer description

LC Financial Holdings is an international, multi-skilled financial services business incorporating 5 distinct business verticals. These comprise two credit management businesses, a fund management operation, a software development company and a specialist legal group. We are a leading SME and leasing credit servicer, operating out of 10 European countries, and employing more than 1,750 people.

We are seeking a driven and highly capable Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer (Architecture & Engineering) to join our fast-paced, regulated environment. Working in ICT and reporting to the Head of Integrated Solution Services, this role is ideal for a hands-on technical architect/engineer who is passionate about delivering tangible results, shaping strategy, and delivering on it regardless of challenges. You will play a pivotal role in evolving our hybrid infrastructure—balancing on-premise data centres and Azure cloud—while driving innovation, automation, and the adoption of AI technologies. You will understand M365 service capabilities to maximise the value of our Microsoft 365 licensing.

What you’ll do

* Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of modern, pragmatic infrastructure solutions aligned with a cloud-smart strategy and business goals.
* Provide hands-on technical expertise across hybrid environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises infrastructure.
* Translate high-level architectural strategies into actionable engineering solutions and detailed project plans.
* Champion and implement AI-driven automation and intelligence within ICT operations.
* Ensure all solutions meet rigorous regulatory, security, and operational requirements, contributing to design and change governance.
* Collaborate closely with Architecture, Security, Service Delivery, and business stakeholders to ensure engineering outcomes are aligned and supportable.
* Drive technical delivery for key initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, resilience engineering, and service modernisation.
* Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
* Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies and methodologies.
* Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives, making sensible decisions about on-premise vs. cloud deployments.

What you’ll bring

Experience & Skills

* Significant hands-on experience delivering infrastructure and cloud solutions in highly regulated industries (e.g., financial services, government, healthcare).
* Deep technical expertise in hybrid cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, identity, storage).
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, security/compliance).
* Solid background in Windows Server, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), and on-premises data centre infrastructure.
* Proven track record of translating strategy into executable engineering workstreams and delivering results at pace.
* Demonstrable experience with AI services and platforms, and a passion for intelligent automation.
* Excellent scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI) and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
* Experience with SQL databases and multi-tier application stacks.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ideally, experience working in a fast-paced financial environment.

Competencies

* Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem solving.
* High level of personal accountability and a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.
* Strong sense of ownership, consistently following through on commitments.
* Resilient and determined, with a solutions-focused attitude and commitment to overcoming obstacles.
* Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term strategic objectives.
* Strong awareness of security and compliance requirements, including frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NCSC guidelines.
* Effective collaborator, able to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrates leadership by mentoring others and acting as a subject matter expert.

Education/Certifications

* Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience).
* Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
