Dynamic colleague required to fill these two-replacement posts within the anaesthetic department at St James Hospital.
The successful applicant should possess FRCA (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
Applicants should have established skills in general adult anaesthesia, with experience in thoracics, hepatobiliary and major general anaesthesia. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential.
Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will participate in the undergraduate teaching program for the school of Medicine, University of Leeds, which is organised on specialty or clinical area basis. The appointee, with colleagues, will contribute to the teaching of postgraduates, including the teaching program for StRs in Anaesthesia in the Yorkshire Deanery.
