I'm looking for a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor to join our team in Avonmouth. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that safety, health, and wellbeing are not just met — but championed — across every aspect of our work.
This is a key role within the project team, where you'll advise, guide and influence both operational staff and senior stakeholders to embed best-in-class HSW practices in a complex and ever-evolving construction environment.
In This Role, You'll Be Responsible For
* Providing expert HSW advice and support to delivery teams across the project lifecycle.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant H&S legislation, client and contractual requirements.
* Supporting project documentation reviews and attending pre-start planning meetings.
* Leading safety inspections, site tours and HSW engagement activities.
* Representing the CWA in client meetings and working groups.
* Investigating incidents and adverse events, and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Delivering training sessions, briefings and awareness campaigns.
* Supporting junior team members through mentoring and coaching.
* Deputising for the HSW Manager as required.
* Promoting innovation and new technology to improve safety performance.
To Be Successful, You'll Bring
* A strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations and compliance frameworks.
* Experience managing HSW on large-scale construction and civil engineering projects.
* The ability to build rapport, influence behaviours and drive a positive safety culture.
* NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent (or working towards).
* Competence in incident investigation, risk assessment and formal report writing.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and behavioural safety principles.
