Due to ongoing international growth, ROVOP Inc. seeks ROV Pilot Technicians at all levels for permanent positions. We have multiple global projects scheduled through 2024 and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
* Adhering to safe working practices, electrical principles, and industry standards.
* Effective communication with team members, clients, and management.
* Participating in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
* Following all ROVOP policies and procedures.
* Assisting supervisors and conducting professional project tasks.
* Completing pre- and post-dive checks.
* Launching and recovering ROVs as instructed.
* Fault-finding and troubleshooting independently.
* Maintaining communication with deck personnel during operations.
* Ensuring all work is documented properly.
* Managing navigational aids and ensuring their functionality.
* Performing maintenance and understanding system manuals.
* Mentoring trainees and updating system inventories.
* Piloting ROVs in various environmental conditions.
* Keeping logs and preparing technical reports.
* Learning new technical and operational skills.
* Integrating third-party tooling and sensors.
* Supervising teams when required.
Candidates should have experience with systems such as Triton XLX/XLS, Seaeye Panther/Cougar/Tiger, or Sub-Atlantic Comanche/Mohican. Necessary certifications include IMCA competence, BOSIET, offshore medical, and preferably GWO. Additional qualifications like HV certification, a second passport, and seaman’s certification are advantageous.
