Responsibilities
1. Test and validate program modules of increasing complexity to meet specifications and procedures standards.
2. Conduct thorough and accurate testing of client/server and web-based applications.
3. Document software defects in the issue-tracking system and proactively communicate with software developers.
4. Validate all written documentation for assignments for accuracy and completeness.
5. Validate software releases of basic complexity prior to distribution.
6. Execute automated test scripts and evaluate results.
7. Create and maintain test plans and cases, typically of basic complexity.
8. Adhere to and help develop testing standards and procedures.
9. Assist with reviewing and editing test scripts and writing queries.
10. Document and execute various testing approaches to ensure effective product coverage.
11. Contribute to the development of new procedures, methods, and tools to improve QA efficiency.
12. Assist in designing and defining requirements for new products.
13. Provide analysis and support for development and support teams.
14. Meet departmental goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Science, or Business; equivalent work experience may suffice.
* Experience in software quality assurance activities preferred; experience with Tyler software is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective decision-making abilities.
* Understanding of QA testing methodologies and practices preferred.
* Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle is highly desirable.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
* Proven time management skills and ability to deliver results.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Capability to maintain a test environment regarding products, tools, and data.
* Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
