As a Project Manager in the Nuclear Islands (NI) programme, you'll be in the driver's seat, managing a high-performing multi-disciplinary team and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures, and components for a buildings and contracts within the NI area.
Nuclear Island (NI): is the heart of a nuclear power plant, housing critical components like the reactor, steam generators, and containment structure. It is responsible for generating heat through nuclear fission and ensuring safety with robust systems and controls. The NI works alongside the Conventional Island, which converts steam into electricity, forming the core of the plant's operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a high-performing multi-disciplinary team.
* Oversee end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures and components on the Nuclear Islands (NI) programme.
* Identify and understand the building critical path and key issues.
* Manage interfaces with Engineering contractor, MEH and Civils programs.
* Translate technical details into actionable strategies, engage stakeholders and inspire the team to succeed.
As the Project Manager (NI) your role involves building a relationship with Hinkley Point C (HPC) to understand and drive progress in the main reactor building (HRA). You'll identify and understand the building critical path and any crucial issues. Key interfaces will be with our Engineering contractor and MEH and Civils programs to ensure seamless collaboration.
At Sizewell C, you'll be part of a trailblazing project, building on the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC). With planning approval secured and government funding in place, construction is set to kick off this year in beautiful Suffolk.

Qualifications
* Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex projects.
* Detailed experience of construction methodologies.
* Experience from initial design through to commissioning.
* Managing high-value contracts, cost control and resolving claims.
* Risk and quality management in complex, high-stakes environments.
* Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems or civil engineering for large industrial plants.
* Successful coordination of multi-disciplinary design/procurement work and driving design/procurement teams to deliver on time.
* Good understanding of the complexity of major projects, including interface management between scope areas.
* Project management or project engineering experience, from concept to handover.
* Excellent communication skills in client-facing and contractor-facing situations.
* Outstanding communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Desirable
* Previous engineering or project management experience in the nuclear industry.
