Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers for both drop shipping and stock purchases. Negotiate favourable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Work with suppliers on their stock positions to keep our best sellers in stock for us and to negotiate on slow moving lines. Support Inventory Planning and Management Own the departmental budget by setting and monitoring sales, margin, and profit targets. Track and analyse sales and inventory metrics to identify top-performing products and opportunities for improvement. Report on and analyse weekly sales reports, reporting back to the business on trends, key lines and stock movement to inform the marketing strategy. Develop and implement effective merchandising plans, including product range selection, pricing, and promotions to meet commercial goals. Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to curate a competitive and appealing product assortment. Evaluate the profitability and demand potential of products to align with business goals. Regularly update the product portfolio to reflect seasonal trends and customer demand. Analyse cost structures to maintain competitive pricing while maximizing profit margins. Conduct regular market analyses to adjust product pricing in response to competition and trends.
