Role Overview
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring both smooth and consistent day-to-day operation of our office and laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
* Arranging quotes for sales and calibration services
* Liaising with customers over the phone and via email in a professional manner
* Receiving and processing orders
* Shipping and packing of completed orders
* Job closure, invoicing, and processing customer payments
* Scanning of complete jobs and technical data
* Arranging third-party calibration
* Assisting with the booking in of calibration goods, which includes unboxing, checking off, and booking in goods as per company procedures
Minimum Requirements
* 1+ years proven experience in an administrative or office support role
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities, the ability to communicate with customers on the phone and via email is key
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Excellent multi-taking and time-management skills
* A friendly, can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in
Preferred Requirements (inclusive of the above requirements)
* 3+ years of experience in an administrative or office support role within an engineering or metrology based environment
* Experience with using XERO accounting software
