We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Public Liaison Officer to join our award-winning Civil Engineering team on a 12 month fixed term basis. As the AssistantPublic Liaison Officer, you will support a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the works within the community. Supporting the PLO in building relationships with the local community and providing up to date information to ensure minimal disruptions to residents/stakeholders. You will complement theproductive relationships with local stakeholders that are directly affected by the works/construction site and ensure they are aware of what is taking place and when.

This role will will have regular travel to our sites around the North West.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

1. Act as a direct point of contact between the local community and site team.
2. Prepare and distribute written correspondence advising others of works and timeframes.
3. Make face to face contact with key people and stakeholders across our sites based in the North West.
4. Supportrelationships with local residents and business owners.
5. Support on our ongoing CSR targets by holding drop-in sessions for the public and local community where applicable

What you’ll be doing:

6. Supporting the maintenance ofon-going engagement with local business/community directly affected by the works.
7. Helping to maintainregular contact with targeted stakeholders, including community leaders, those who are most inconvenienced by the works.
8. Assisting with communication for residents, businesses and other local stakeholders
9. Supporting the PLO as aninformation resource for company stakeholder engagement, responding to questions and by proactively alerting them of construction works issues or changes that conflict with what has previously been agree.
10. Regular travel - This role involves travel to our sites based in the North West as and when required.

11. Your ability to communicate effectively is important to this role, perhaps you've been in a communications-based role or stakeholder engagement role.
12. The ability to deal with situations with tact and diplomacy is an asset to the role.
13. Demonstrable ability to form positiveand long-lasting working relationships.
14. Able to relate and communicate with a broad range of people.
15. Able to involve yourself in the community and ensure a favourable outcome for all.
16. Highly organised.
17. The ability to support relationships with people at all levels with a personable approach.

19. Able to present written and oral information clearly and engage the audience.
