Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Sycamore House in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting senior residents. Duties
* Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management in accordance with individual care plans
* Supervise and support junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high standards of care are maintained
* Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans tailored to each resident's needs
* Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, recognising any changes or concerns and reporting them appropriately
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery
* Assist with organising activities and social engagement opportunities for residents to promote wellbeing
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
Requirements
* Proven experience working within a care home or senior care setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities preferred
* Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with residents, families, and team members
* Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant healthcare standards
* IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
* Supervising experience demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to motivate a team
* Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in providing high-quality senior care
