Field Sales Professional Homebased Covering South Wales and Mid-Wales Permanent, Full-time £28,000-£33,000 (Dependent on experience) OTE additional £8k per annum based on achieving individual sales targets Are you a dynamic and results-driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships and closing deals? Calor Gas is seeking an engaging and proactive Field Sales Professional to join our Sales team. In this customer-facing role, you’ll take ownership of the entire sales journey—from nurturing leads to securing contract signatures—while ensuring our customers clearly understand the value Calor offers. You’ll work predominantly with Commercial customers, with some exposure to Domestic accounts, identifying their needs and delivering tailored energy solutions. In addition to driving new business growth, you’ll play a key role in retaining existing customers, managing pricing, enhancing the customer experience, and proactively developing new opportunities through a strong third-party network. Key Responsibilities: Drive new customer acquisition by converting qualified leads into signed contracts through in-field sales activity. Retain and grow existing customer accounts by offering compelling, value-driven propositions to secure renewals. Conduct in-depth needs analysis to identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate Calor solutions. Confidently present pricing structures, solution options, and our value proposition in a clear and professional manner. Ensure LPG siting and installation compliance to minimise delays and failed installations. Champion a customer-first approach, actively seeking and responding to customer feedback. Develop and maintain a network of industry influencers, including specifiers and installer groups, to generate referrals. Effectively plan and prioritise your workload, ensuring accurate administration and timely customer follow-up. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a professional field sales environment, ideally within B2B and/or B2C sectors. A consultative sales approach, with the ability to align technical solutions to customer needs. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. The ability to build sustainable relationships with customers and key market influencers. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills across multiple stakeholder levels. Strong negotiation skills, with a good understanding of pricing strategy and customer profitability. Commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial models and customer lifetime value. Self-motivation and a proactive attitude towards improving the sales process and customer journey. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
