Role overview
As Deputy Manager you’ll work alongside the Pub Manager to help lead the team and run a busy pub. You’ll manage busy services, plan and run special events, welcome and look after customers, and help train and lead our bar/waiting team. You’ll draw on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything, ensuring that operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Pub Manager to lead the team and run a busy pub.
* Manage busy service periods, plan and run events, and ensure excellent customer service.
* Train and develop the bar and waiting team to maintain high standards.
* Decide on beer, gin and wine selections and oversee event execution.
* Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a welcoming customer experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience as a deputy manager or restaurant manager within a gastro pub, restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership and people-management skills.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to manage busy service and events.
