Job Description:
The opportunity
Due to significant growth following a number of high profile client wins, we are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Manager in our Manchester office. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting clients in the market to help support them as they navigate an increasingly complex tax environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Grow and maintain relationships with clients, both existing and new.
2. Manage the successful delivery of technically complex advisory, compliance, and reporting engagements.
3. Provide exceptional client service with a focus on quality.
4. Collaborate with other tax specialist teams.
5. Expand networks and relationships internally and externally.
6. Supervise, coach, and mentor staff to support their development.
7. Lead team initiatives to ensure team success.
Skills and attributes for success:
1. Significant experience in Corporate Tax from practice or in-house.
2. Strong client relationship management skills.
3. Negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
4. Business development abilities.
5. Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Team player with leadership qualities.
8. Experience coaching and developing junior staff.
9. Commitment to delivering quality work.
Minimum qualifications:
1. ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent qualifications.
2. Degree qualification.
3. Experience as a corporate tax practitioner.
4. Experience in tax accounting or audit.
5. Ability to interpret tax statutes.
