Quality Officer, A&P Tyne
We're launching a new 12 month project that will be both challenging and demanding so we're looking for a Quality Officer to join our growing team at A&P Tyne.
Supporting the Quality Manager and Quality Engineers you'll make sure that quality standards are maintained and improved while gaining the knowledge and experience, internally and externally to progress in your career into a Quality Engineer.
Who are A&P Tyne?
With the largest fabrication facilities on the East coast of England, we can built units for vessels, and also joining them together.
Within our 24,000 square metre Fabrication Hall, where your projects will be based, we have a high bay construction hall for our new builds, a panel line, profile cutting and sub-assembly areas.
Using in-house capabilities to maintain tight project control we work closely together with our customers to deliver what they need, as they need it, when they need it.
So what will you do?
* You'll work our Quality Engineers / Welding Co-ordinators / Project Managers and Fabrication team to ensure examinations are conducted in line with our plans
* Depending on your skillset you'll review ITPs, monitor progress, sign off completed activities
* Ensure manufacturing records are up to date
* Carry out Inspections
* Compile weekly reports and attend progress and quality meetings
* You'll develop in all areas to prepare for the move to an Engineering role in the future
And what are we looking for?
* Experience of quality within a welding and fabrication or manufacturing business
* Working knowledge of QA/QC standards
* Wider thinking and problem solving skills
* The ability and aptitude to learn and understand structural, welding and build drawings
* High focus skills relating to attention to detail and accuracy
* Diplomacy and confidentiality with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to work with stakeholders at various levels within the business
* Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline driven work environment
* Experience working with Microsoft office (outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint)
